Jay R. Morrow, 55 of Fort Dodge passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, with Msgr. Kevin McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with a vigil at 7:30.
Jay is survived by his parents, Robert and Beulah Morrow; brothers, Dave and his wife Cheryl of Fort Dodge; Tim and his wife Amy of Gilbert; Mark of Remsen; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Dennis.
Jay Robert Morrow was born July 13, 1957 in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge Schools and graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School. He then attended Iowa Central Community College and graduated from Buena Vista University. Following his education Jay established his home in Fort Dodge. He was employed with Hy-Vee Food Store. Jay held various positions and most recently was the product manager.
Jay was an Iowa State fan, avid bicyclist, skier, and enjoyed doing anything outdoors. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, who will miss him dearly.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
