"I am so sorry to hear about my friend Eileen Rosenberg's passing. Eileen and I kept in touch for many years and when I moved out of Ames to Florida 8 years ago, we tried to communicate by mail whenever we could. Eileen was so very sweet and caring and always spoke so lovingly about her dear son Evan and his wife as well as her parents and sister and family. She took an interest in other's lives and wrote the sweetest and kindest letters. I hope that she enjoyed my responses to her. Her life was not an easy one and she faced many obstacles, but she did the best she could and I was a better person for knowing her and having her as a friend. I will think of you often. Love, Helene "
