Lorraine Tucker
November 28, 1923 - June 4, 2013

Lorraine Tucker, of Antigo, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Langlade Hospital surrounded by her children. She was 89 years old. She was born on November 28, 1923 in the Town of Vilas, a daughter of Martin and Helen (Spurgeon) Strandberg. She married Vern Tucker on May 20, 1943 in Antigo. He preceded her in death on September 5, 1989.

She worked in Milwaukee at Schlitz Brewery and the Downy Box manufacturing company. In 1945 Mrs. Tucker moved to the town of Peck where she and her husband operated a dairy farm.
They moved into Antigo in 1959 and she began working at Gunkels Bakery.
Mrs. Tucker was a longtime member and active volunteer of the Antigo United Methodist Church, the Langlade Hospital Auxillary, the Langlade County Committee on Aging and C.A.R.
More recently she enjoyed playing numerous card games with her children and grandchildren including skip-bo, cribbage and sheepshead.

Survivors include two daughters Jeanne (William) Winters, Lake Tomahawk, Peggy (David) Tomski, Deerbrook; three sons Dale (Mary) Tucker, Antigo, Randy (Wendy) Tucker, Antigo, Kenneth (Janice) Tucker, Ringle; two sisters Arlene Tucker and Beverly Sima both of Kenosha; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, Martin Tucker, two sisters Alice Hubbard, Genevia Doering; three brothers Vernon "Red" Strandberg, Donald and James Strandberg.

A funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Debbie Pimm officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
