A memorial service will be 4:00 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2013 at the funeral home. The family will greet friends Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Jerry Robert Domek was born March 10, 1962, in Emmetsburg, IA the son of Robert and Kay (Hauschen) Domek. He attended Emmetsburg Community Schools.
Throughout his life, Jerry worked construction and several other jobs including: factory & farm work, and he worked as a movie projectionist. Jerry was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, searching for arrowheads, metal detecting and reading. He was a history buff, and he always enjoyed his 4th of July fireworks. Jerry had many collections including guns, antiques, coins, pop bottles and classic rock music.
Jerry's biggest joys in life were his daughter, Miranda "Little", new granddaughter, Ella and his beloved, Rita.
On Friday, June 14, Jerry passed away at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.
He is survived by: Rita Fasching of Redwood Falls, MN; daughter, Miranda Domek (Austin); granddaughter, Ella; mother, Kay Domek of Emmetsburg; sisters: Julie Reinders of Norwalk, IA and Deb Metz of Emmetsburg; brother, Tom Domek (Amy) of Emmetsburg; niece, Holly Reinders of Portland, OR; nephews: Joey Reinders (Tonya) and family of Aurelia, IA, Andy Reinders (Tara) and family of West Des Moines, IA; Chad Metz of Ames and Casey Metz (Bri) and family of Emmetsburg and Mitchell Metz of Emmetsburg; and Jerry's beloved pets: Howie and the Grey Beast.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Bob Domek, Grandparents: Raymond & Thresia Domek and John & Katherine McCullough.

You were always there for me when I needed you. Never let a cloud get in the way of a good time. And you made the worst times golden. I will never forget you. .......ever "
