"I lived with Ronnie for about 7 years....I could never isolate just ONE good memory (nor only one bad one...). I loved him most of the time, but he could drive me crazy at other times. I think he was a talented & intelligent guy....he just couldn't stop mistreating his body. He loved his dog, Spot (my step-dog), he loved to play his music WAY too loud, he loved beer...We kept in touch after I moved from SF to return to school & become a veterinarian; most recently, we connected on Facebook. I knew about his lung surgery last year (?), heard from him maybe once after that. Then, no contact....I knew in my gut that he'd died. I wish he didn't have to "go" that way, this soon....I wasn't in love with him anymore, but he still had a place in my heart....always. RIP, Ronnie."

"Thomas and Family...
Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to your family, from ours. Only getting to know Tom "in passing" when he was accompanying his Dad during "insurance rounds", or occasionally at the bowling alley, I was deprived from seeing his many talents. Having moved from Keokuk to the Quad Cities in '63, I still remember him as a fun-loving, and quite affable young man, liked by most everyone whose lives he touched. Our prayers go out to you all... Rest In Heavenly Peace, Ronnie! "

"Ron was an inspiration when he played his music. We spent a lot of time playing out on the porch when he lived next door and we spent a lot of time talking about politics over the phone. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He will truly be missed by many. Rest in piece my brother."

"Ron was an amazing musician, a member of the first band in which I ever played, and a major reason why I gave up my landline telephone! I visited him in San Francisco a few years ago and have known him since first grade. Heaven is a better place today. Keep pickin', Farny!! "
