Daryl L. Fritz, of Mattoon, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at DaVita Northwood Dialysis in Shawano. He was 54 years old. He was born on July 10, 1958 in Hartford a son of the late Robert and Marlene (Burg) Fritz.
He was a 1976 graduate of Hartford High School. He worked on a hobby farm with his father and also helped his father and mother assemble muffler clamps at home.
He moved from Hartford to Birnamwood in 1993 and then to his current residence in Mattoon.
He enjoyed 4-wheeling and the company of others.
Survivors include four sisters, Karen (Frank) Beder of Iron Ridge, Susan Fritz of Birnamwood, Denice Fritz of Iron Ridge and Barbara (Russ) Gross of Kewaskum; two brothers, Thomas (Brenda) Fritz of Eden and Keith (Dawn) Fritz of Allenton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a niece, Tammy Beder.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m. at Shimon Funeral Home in Hartford with Reverend Marcia Carrier officiating. Burial will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of service at the Shimon Funeral Home.
