Madison - David L. Roal, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at his home in Madison. He was born March 24, 1939 in Owen, Wisconsin, the son of Herbert and Harriet (Taylor) Roal. He served in the military in the 1960's. In 1965 he graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelor's Degree in Sales and Marketing. David enjoyed watching Packers and Badgers games, especially Badger Basketball. Classical and jazz music was his ultimate passion. He also liked reading political, society and civil rights publications.
David is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (John Dunn) Heckel and Natasha (Michael) Wiemiller; a son, Erik Roal; grandchildren, Ian Heckel, Tayler Roal, Tristan and Kaiden Wiemiller; a sister, Diane (Peter) Loniello; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends;
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter, Layla Heckel and a sister, Nancy Duesterbeck.
A celebration of life will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 East Washington Avenue, Madison, on Sunday, July 14, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
