Michael E. Dowdle, age 49, passed away unexpectedly at home on August 23, 2013, of heart disease. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Mary Alice (McCormick) Dowdle and Edward W. Dowdle. He was a member of the Monona Grove High School Class of 1982. He served in the United States Navy. Michael was an avid Green Bay Packer fan, and loved music, his family and his friends. He was known for his generous heart, and he always brought a smile to all he met. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Alice McCormick Dowdle. He is survived by his fiancé Ellen Kahl, his beloved cat Pumpkin, his father, Edward W. (Maureen) Dowdle, his sisters Ann Dowdle (Connecticut), Mary Kate (Michael) Taylor (Iowa), Patricia (Kendall) Gulseth, (Stoughton) and his nieces and nephews, Alex Sampson (Iowa), Lauren Sampson (Iowa), Adam Gulseth (Stoughton), and Sarah Gulseth (Stoughton). Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery on Friday, August 30, 2013.
