"Dear family, losing a loved one is very difficult, especially a mother. I am writing to share a wonderful promise that I have learned in the Bible that brings me comfort. John 5:28,29,"Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will come out." God promises to soon bring our loved ones back to life. He has the power and desire to do so and he will do what he promises. "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more." (Revelation 21:4)God will end all suffering and we will live in paradise here on earth with our loved ones and create new memories with them.(Psalms 37:29:John 17:3;John 3:16) May this promise bring you some comfort, knowing that God "who cannot lie" promises this.(Titus 1:2)"

"Gary, Diana, Angie and family, Lori and Family,Kennedy, Kyle, Jaxon and James. My Mother aka Aunt Val: called and told me Christi had lost her fight. My thoughts went to all the family gatherings in Ft Madison and what a beautiful girl she has always been. and how proud Diana and Gary were of her as being one of their daughters. If we all learn one thing from Christi's time with us it would have to be "Our lives are what we make them and we always need to look at the positive of everyone that crosses our path." She will be missed by so many her on earth, but she is now the angle that will make the sun shine with her smile. I am praying for all the family."

"Dear Gary, Diana, James, Kennedy, Kyle, Jaxon, Angie, Darrell & Kids, Christi was such a remarkable woman and it's unbelievable that she's gone. She was so witty, smart and just fun to be around. I loved her like a Sister and will always miss her. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May God help you through this very difficult time. I know she's in Heaven managing a department or two and watching over her beautiful children."

"Dear Christi, There are certain people that you feel cose to...even though you may not have spent a lot of time together you can pick up a conversation with them 6 months or a year later as if you had just talked to them yesterday. That's how I felt with Christi. Working in the hospitality industry was definitely a good use of her people skills. She cared so much about other people and always had a funny little comeback to brighten someone's day. Even though she never complained, I always felt that Christi had a very unsettled life early on and I was so happy when she settled down, married and had little Jaxon. A storybook ending ...to live happily ever after. But unlike storybooks, real life doesn't always play out the same as we may like. And thats the real life story we've all been following the last few years as she courageously fought back and inspired us all with her spirit, humor and sometimes "too real' description of her battlefield. You trusted in the Lord when you said "I am greatly afflicted" So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen. Since what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal. I am certain we will continue our conversation just where we left off...when we meet again. Peace and Love to you and your family. "

"Christi was a shining star in my life at the West Des Moines Marriott. We had desks next to each other and shared hilarious moments in our lives, pain of loosing loved ones and loved ones living with cancer and many many private moments of personal conflicts. Her children always gave her a sense of pride when they were discussed (at that time only Kennedy and Kyle). I am so thankful to have had Christi in my life. She came at a time when I really needed a strong friend and a person of reason to lean on. She will be deeply missed by myself and many others. Thank you, Christi, for sharing a piece of yourself with me. The world has lost an incredible person. "

"Dear Christi, I could never begin to tell you the influence you had on my life. Who knew that you would meet me in passing while I was a Front Desk clerk in Ankeny? You said you saw "something" in me. Without you, I would not have advanced personally, professionally or pushed out of my comfort zone. You hired me as your Sales Coordinator and I had no idea we would become such close friends and that you would open my eyes and my heart to face this world fearlessly. I have SO many memories of you!!! You made me laugh and RELAX. I will never forget you telling me to "embrace awkwardness." I have lived with that mantra and pass it on to my friends and family. I will never forget me getting mad at you for making me get on the phone and make cold calls! Remember that?! I wanted you to call so bad and you PUSHED me to do it myself. THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I am so glad I got to see you just weeks ago on August 18th (Kennedy's birthday). I didn't know it would be the last time I would see you. I have the greatest most beautiful memory of you that day. You offering ME a cookie when I was crying. You ALWAYS cared about others. ALWAYS. The memory is clear as day and will remain forever. I don't know where to share it...but you said that day that you felt your purpose on earth was to give three men beautiful babies. You did that. Kennedy, Kyle, and Jaxon are an extension of you. (I will also never forget Kyle telling me I could be a pajama model!!!) I hate that we lost you here on earth. I know I will see you again and you will be laughing and your bright eyes shining. I love you and you will ALWAYS be in my heart. Watch over us, okay? Remind us not to take little things so seriously all of the time!!! :-D Take flight, Christi~into the peace of heaven. I love you.
