"My wife and I were Stacy's neighbors for the last several years of his life in Hartley. We shared many laughs, and some desserts! He always seemed to have a project he was working on, but always took time to help his friends. He was a kind, thoughtful man. We moved from Hartley about a month before his passing, knowing we would miss his friendship. Condolences to family and friends who miss his quick smile and laughter."

"Stacy was a long time friend of mine. I first meet Stacy when he had his salon in Webb. We had some very memorable times together! Had just ran into him at Spencer we planned on getting together soon. I will miss him dearly and he still is the best dam hairdresser around! I will always have a smile on my face when I think of some of those crazy times we did have! One of those with Stacy crashing into my aquarium killing Chopper ( Stacy knows). Lol My thoughts and prayers are with all his family. Rest in peace my dear friend. "

Sherry Hamilton wrote on Nov 1, 2013:

"Stacy was a great friend and a talented hairdresser with a wonderful sense of humor who could always make me laugh. He loved his antiques and to tinker with mechanics, I'll never forget the time we patched my carb with duct tape! The first time I watched Schindler's List was with him and Todd and we all sat there crying like babies, we made road trips to the Casino by Sioux City and shared many other memories. I really wish I would have made it to Hartley to see him this summer. He will be missed but I will carry him in my heart. My sympathies for you all. I know how much he loved his family and how excited he was to be back home. I hope you find peace and comfort in your time of sorrow. "
