Rita Kay (Trammell) Anderson, 68, of Fort Dodge, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home with Rev. Dale Harlow of Northfield Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be at North Lawn Cemetery.
Survivors include her children, Brian (Hope) Anderson of Fonda; April (Douglas) Siepker of Rolfe; Corey Anderson of Fort Dodge; father, Odis Trammell of Newell; grandchildren, Dallas Wyatt; Valorie Grundmeier; Bradley Anderson; William Heun II; Brittnay Heun; Robert Heun; Braylie Siepker; Bryelie Siepker; Austin Anderson; and Blaine Anderson; great-grandchildren, Audrianna Wyatt; Dallas Wyatt Jr.; Neven Wyatt; Kooper Anderson; Draytn and Cayscn Heun; siblings, Dave (Sandy) Trammell of Fort Dodge; Tom Trammell of Holts Summitt, MO; Pat (Joni) Trammell of Ames; Penny (Jon) Lundberg of Storm Lake; Barb Bures of Fort Dodge; Debra (Bret) Davis of Humboldt; Odis Jr. (Janet) Trammell of Hurst, TX; and Cindy (Harry) Anderson of Barnum and her beloved dog "Boss T".
Rita was preceded in death by husband, Billy Jo "B.J." Anderson; mother, Corrine Trammell; great-granddaughters, Mckenna Wyatt and Gracie Jo Martens; sister, Judyann Trammell.
Rita Kay Trammell was born on April 28, 1945 in Fort Dodge. She attended schools here. She worked at the Eiler's Motel and the Black Knight Restaurant. On May 17, 1966, she was united in marriage to B.J. Anderson at Church of Christ in Correctionville. The couple moved to Fort Dodge in 1967. Rita worked for Wonder Bread as a manager for several years until it closed. Later the couple owned and operated B.J.'s Café for several years and later she worked for Hy-Vee. She enjoyed, fishing, bowling, gambling, and gardening. Rita was devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
