Tami Jo Thompson
June 23, 1961 - November 30, 2013

Tami Jo Beason Thompson, age 52 of Altoona, died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Colfax with burial following at Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Tami Thompson Memorial Fund. The daughter of Robert and Judy (Carter) Beason, Tami was born on June 23, 1961, in Grinnell, Iowa. Tami was a very creative person, she loved making things for her family and friends, and loved scrapbooking and doing all sorts of crafts, also spending time with her 5 beautiful grandchildren that she loved so much.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Brandon (Kate) Thompson of Prairie City, Trent (Angie) Thompson of Runnells, and Michael Thompson of West Des Moines; five grandchildren, Brody, Ethan, Ella, Paige and Briar; a sister, Michele Fitch of Altoona; a brother Scott (Johanna) Beason of Colfax; her father, Robert (Carol) Beason of Oskaloosa; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her mother, Judy; a son Jeremy Thompson; her grandparents, Harold and Vivian Beason and Albert and Vera Carter and a special Aunt Joan Hulbert.
