Dorothy J. Clifford, of Antigo, died Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Wausau Aspirus Hospital. She was 83 years old. She was born on February 24, 1930 in Jennings, a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Drzeweicki) Walentowski. She married Thomas Clifford Sr. on January 27, 1951 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1997.

She graduated from Elcho High School and attended Milwaukee State Teachers College.

Life's travels took her to many places in the United States which gave her great pleasure.

Mrs. Clifford was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Jody (Mark) Truskey of White Plains, KY, Anne (Dave) Wagner and Corky (Paul) Steckbauer both of Antigo; two sons, Thomas Jr. (Patty) Clifford of Antigo and Patrick (Kristi) Clifford of Wausau; 15 grandchildren, Becky Truskey, Emily Wagner, Whitney (fiancé Dan Woods) Wagner, Andrew Wagner, Hillaree (Mark) Mackey, Hanna Steckbauer, Thomas III (Lindsey), Heather and Michael Clifford and Sarah, Aidan, Brady, Gavin, Ryan and Josie Clifford; eight great-grandchildren, Briana and Preston Woodall, Ivar Mackey, Brody, Liam, Michael and Jaxton Clifford and Zoey Young; and a sister, Johanna (George) Cmelak of Antigo.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Sadie Panka; five brothers, Antone, Aloysius, Harry, Patrick and Robert Walentowski; and a step-son, Michael Clifford.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 to 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
