"I remember you as a lady full of spunk and you were so kind to me. You opened your home to me as your daughter's friend who was in need. I will never forget how you and your family helped me. You are a wonderful person and I am praying for you as you are now in Heaven. "
"Aunt Audrey I always looked up to and admired you and Uncle Artie as my idols. I was 12 years old when I met you. You were so beautiful inside and out. You always fought for me as a kid with such passion as you did everything in life. Ironically, I lived in Florida and waited for the summer of your visit to the Dunes. We party at night with Tubby Boots and got the royal treatment that only you two could could create. I even traveled to Delaware with my best friends Dee to visit you. I loved you and admire you. May you get the rest you so deserve. Love you always Judy and Joe . "
"My sincere condolences to the Palermo family"
"You were always my feisty aunt Audrey. I will never forget the day Chickie in her long silver metallic coat, Judy Ann and you in your long metallic gold coat took us to the circus. I was so proud to be with such beautiful women. You influenced me so greatly. I even use brass accents all over my house. I will always remember your beautiful long red hair. And most of all your lilting laugh. It will always remain I my brain and I can summon it up at any time. Don't forget our own private joke the night we laid on your bed and we kept saying, "don't forget to cut the watermelon!" LOL.
I LOVE YOUğ?'""
"My mother made friends and memories were ever she was.
She lived in Delaware, were I was born. We were e there for only a few years and she made life time friends. I remember when we used to drive to Florida we had to stop in Delaware. The whole block was there to greet us. It was as if it were a holiday. They threw a big block party, and in fact neighbors who had not spoken in years now were friends again because Audrey was there.
When we moved to Red Hill road in Rockland she continued to be a great neighbor. There wasn't a night I remember without someone visiting our house. In fact people she meet in the hospital I was born came up all the time to play Pinochle. My Mother was a good player and many opponents curse he name calling her Butana.
Our house in Long Island was decorated in Moms flamboyant colors Hot pink, apple green and yellow. But it was a quite block so Mom got everyone's attention. She pulled the speakers out and blasted the theme to the God father movie! There wasn't a day that we didn't have neighbors over having a cup of coffee or shooting the breeze.
Our house in Florida was no different she engaged every neighbor with a smile and an invitation to coffee. Some of them chevas regal. My Mother was diagnosed with cancer in the 70's but that didn't stop the visits from friends in fact people from all over flew in to see here. We were like a hotel! One guest would leave only to have another behind. They all wanted to see her in fear they may miss her. But they didn't realize my Mom was a Tiger. She didn't plan on going anywhere.
And here we are 40 years later her prays were answered, she wanted to see her children marry, and get to meet her grandchildren. As an adult I find the lessons of my Mom popping up. When I was injured I fought back. When I moved to my house I greeted everyone with a smile and an invitation to a cup of coffee.
"

"U were always my feisty aunt. I will always remember going with Judy Ann, Chicky in her silver long coat and YOU in ur gold metallic long coat. I think that's where I learned to love that look. My house is also decorated with brass. I will always remember your red wavy hair and ur laugh can still be heard within my memory.Don't forget to cut the watermelon". It will always be our private joke. Say hi to my mom and play ur Friday night pinochle. I will always love youğ?'""
"Aunt Audry...you've been a fighter since I knew you and your life even inspired an essay I wrote in 2nd grade...no lie...now my oldest daughter is in 2nd grade. Although she may have never met you, I am sure she will want to know about you...and what will I have to say? I would tell her what an amazing fighter you were...You see, despite the hardships, you have left us a familial legend for us to all admire. Your strength and dignity despite the illnesses that tried to crack your spirit all fell peril to your fortitude. God bless you and may your spirit carry on here on Earth and In Heaven. You are still amazing to me! Love you and miss you. To Donna Mae, Artie, And Deano....take care of each other and hold each other up through this difficult time. To Arty Sr., you are one amazing man...with an amazing will and dedication we all can learn from...Prayers with you all. xoxo"
"Ah, Audrey, when we met in the maternity ward when I was five (and they had no room for me in the children's ward) you became my instant friend and protector. From fighting over the red crayon, to soothing me as I got frightened as night fell. All those toys you had Artie buy for me when he brought you something... You were so good to my family, and I always loved how you said you were "GREAT!" whenever somebody asked you how you were feeling, even when we knew you were very ill. We love you, Audrey. Rest in Peace. Please say hello to dad when you get there. He may have a cream pie... so, duck. "
"To my dear Aunt Audrey, I still remember you saying that you were going to make it to my wedding, even though you were so weak. You did and kept that feisty attitude to the very end. I always loved that you delighted in my children whenever you saw them and we visited with you. Frank and I will always remember your strength, your sass and your love. RIP To Donna, Vinny, Arty, Debbie, Dean, Heather, Donato, Gianna and Amanda, hugs and love from across the states. May her memory bring you comfort, love and laughter always."
"My Dearest Mother you were a tiger for all these years. Your are my inspiration. My heart is breaking, but I know it was your time. Until we meet again"
"I'll miss you grandma. I hope your happy in Heaven"
