Claude "Glenn" Maney
July 17, 1919 - January 11, 2014

Claude "Glenn" Maney, of Elcho, died Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Tomahawk. He was 94 years old. He was born on July 17, 1919 in the town of Rolling, a son of Charles and Libbie Jo (Gillett) Maney. He married Ann "Peg" Johnson on June 12, 1948 in Elcho. She survives.

He moved to Elcho at age 10, attended Post Lake grade school and worked in the CC Camps in the Elcho area. From 1942 to 1945 he served his country in the United States Army working with an engineer company driving heavy equipment while in Europe.

He was employed as a truck driver for Don Kelly Logging from 1955 to 1965. For the next fifteen years he drove truck for Ison Equipment in Monico retiring in 1980.

He was a member of the United Church of Christ-Congregational in Elcho, the Noetzelman-Boodry American Legion Post #377, Elcho.

He coached little league and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors including his wife are a daughter Janice (David) Huskey, Albany, Oregon; two sons Robert Maney (Jackie) Menomonee Falls, John (Jean) Maney, Elcho; three grandchildren Shawn (Jessica) Maney, Adam (Amy) Huskey and Allen Huskey; four step-grandchildren Trent (Kristin) Jocoby, Tracy (Tim) Herman, Shane Hurkman, and Denise (Bob) Doleshal; five great-grandchildren and nine step-great grandchildren; three sisters Marjorie Kock, Sheboygan, Mary Woods and Cecelia (Paul) Howe, New Holstein;

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his five sisters, Eunice Kwick, Doris Woods, Jean McCary, Phoebe Debroux, and Maude Sieber, a brother Clyde Maney.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday January 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at United Church of Christ, Congregational with Rev. Gary Wilner officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
