"I am so sad to just learn of Dorothy's passing. My son and I were regular Saturday Meals on Wheels volunteers and when she was "Cancel until further notice" on the schedule, we held hope she was temporarily sick. Today when her name was not on the schedule at all my heart sank. Then I located her obituary. She was a true "light" on our route and a reason we stayed involved. We always spent time visiting with her, she asking about us and also telling us all about her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, friends, kids she babysat that are now all grown up with their own families; always had plenty of pictures to share and stories to tell. She always looked forward to our visits but I'm sure we looked forward to them even more. We missed delivering one time and the next time we showed up she said, "I missed you the last time...I got all gussied up and it was someone else." :) To even have known her and visited with her just every other Saturday was a blessing and I'm saddened but also extremely honored to have met such a beautiful soul. We'll be thinking of all of Dorothy's family and your loss. "

"Dorothy was a wonderful person, I grew down the street from Ken and Dorothy. I glad that My mom and I were able to spend time with Dorothy this past summer;we took her to Perkins and out for rides which she enjoyed. My condolences to the family."
