Don entered the United States Air Force where he served for four years during the Vietnam War. Following his service, Don attended the University of Arizona where he was a 1972 graduate. He loved computers, and he was on the cutting edge of the internet. He worked with programmers and developers as a hobby. Don's 24 hour weather-cam at Lost Island is still active at this link: www.mycampage.com/lostislandlakecam. Don also enjoyed cars, motorcycles and the mechanics of both. "I knew Cap for 51 years. He was like the brother I never had. When ever we talked or emailed it was like we were 16 years old again. So many memories and such good times I could write a book. He was a loving, caring, and dear friend. I know he is in a better place now and I'll see him again someday, but until then I sure will miss him! My thoughts and prayers are with his family, Carol and Krista. I can imagine the pain they must be feeling. God bless them both."
