Lois Belle Buser
December 10, 1928 - April 18, 2014

Lois Belle Buser, age 85, of Ames passed away Friday April 18, 2014 at Mary Greeley Medical Center. A celebration of life memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday April 23, 2014 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way in Ames. The family will receive guests one hour before the service. Burial will take place at Melbourne Cemetery in Melbourne, Iowa following the service.
Lois was born on December 10, 1928 in Norwich, Connecticut the daughter of Samuel and Jessie Lester. She grew up in Norwich and attended school there. Lois married Richard Johnson and he preceded her in death, she then married Harold Lesh who he preceded her in death. She married Roy Buser in 1998, in Colorado, and he preceded her in death in 2009. Lois was very proud of her career as a Postal Clerk. She worked in Melbourne and Marshalltown, Iowa before retiring in Grand Junction, Colorado with the post office. Lois had many hobbies including traveling, playing the organ, and spending time with her many pets.
Lois is survived by her children, Carol (Jon) Bunting of Melbourne, Samuel (Sharon) Johnson of Rhodes, Patricia (Joel) Tichy of Garwin, Iowa, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two step daughters, Linda Buser Smith of Scottsdale, AZ and Jodi Jachter of Marrison, CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Myra Collins, and a granddaughter in infancy.
