"Me and Albert used to play as kids on his boat with his wooden gun. He sometimes liked to touch me with it. I liked it when Albert would let me clean the boat, because I grew up as a slave so it was good practise. He once told me that I was actually his long lost son from a girl he met in Vegas."

"Al was the Captain of his destiny...I am very sure he got to the right shore.
I am also very happy that I got to enjoy a beautiful couple of days with Al and my dear friend Lori just a few weeks ago at their beautiful home in Fort Lauderdale. He was still "leaving the dream" and looks healthier than ever!. He treated Lori and I to a great lunch via boat to "shooters" followed by a beautiful afternoon by the pool...he was full of life and with big plans for the future...but he got called... too bad for us... and especially for those that didn't get to know him...I'm glad I met him., I am especially glad to have seen him and Lori enjoying life together, as always but with a deeper meaning.
Lori, my heart is bleeding for your lost, my deepest condolences. Now he'll be with you 24/7, just like he always wanted. I am here for you as always, I love you my friend.
To Kurt and family, to Robin, to Momma "Jo", brother Jerry and to those family members I haven't met, my deepest condolences as well. Al leaves a big hole that it will be hard to fill, but I am sure he'll never abandoned his family... if there is a way he'll find it...and I have a feeling that now it may be through God.
May God bring peace, love and Christian resignation to your hearts. "

"I haven't had contact with Al in a long while, but I knew him well for a time. Since hearing the news he had passed, I have been flooded with memories from the years when Al occasionally brought me along to experience life as he saw it; an ocean of chances to have fun, redline the RPM's a bit, and drive through the heavy chop. From catching sailfish with kites to running at flank speed South Haven bound; when you were with Al, it was automatically extraordinary and never forgettable. I will always be grateful for the generosity he showed me and my condolences go out to the Kropp families for their loss."

"We have lost a truly unique and outstanding individual from our trapshooting community. Very few people have made such a positive impression on us in the few years we had the pleasure of knowing "Big Al". He loved to call our group of shooters "The Texas Posse." Our heartfelt sympathy and prayers are with Lori and family.

"I felt blessed the day that I met Al and Lori and the friendship that developed will be cherished forever. We had so much in common and shared so many unforgettable times - never missed Sunday Mass no matter where we were and every second of every day was approached with a positive attitude. I'll miss you, friend, but know that I'll see you later. Lori, he'll send you hugs from above every day."

I'm so sorry for your loss. Please accept my deepest sympathy. May you find comfort from your memories, as well as God's word the bible. Why do people we love die? Romans 5:12 says: "That is why, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men because they had all sinned." How loving of God to promise what is found at Revelation 21:4 which says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away."

"Albert,
I have so many fond memories of the good times we shared together. Thank you for being a father figure to my children. You were there for them in their formative years with encouragement and life lessons that made them into the successful adults they are today. You were truly a man's man and passionate about the things you loved. You were always kind hearted to those in need and the first thing that came to my mind was your friendship and kindness towards Domingo. I am grateful that you took my father "Cochise" under your wing and brought so much happiness to his life. I remember your many faces, Rambo, Big Al, President, CEO, Captain Al of KAT Racing, Husband, Father, and Stepfather to my children. You always lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of it. I hope you rest in peace and get to fish, hunt, and boat to your hearts content in heaven.
