"I remember meeting Jessie when I lived next door to his cousin, Jeanette, in North Lauderdale, Florida, some 10 years plus ago, so he was still a teenager then. I remember his smile and his caring attitude, especially to his mother. I am deeply saddened at his passing and only wish prayers and blessing on his parents, siblings, family and friends. He is in the bossom of his Lord, so it's left for the rest of us to pick up the pieces and remember those great memories of him. God rest his soul!"

"My first memory of you was over 10 years ago when I met my BFF (you mom) and she proudly said "This is Jessie my son". I remember thinking to myself, what a courteous & polite teenager, not many of those around :) I remember asking you a year later to write out Aliyah's' 1st birthday cards because your penmanship was so beautiful. I think of how you were so loving to Aliyah, and how every time we went to the mall, we would look for you in Old Navy just to say hi and give you a great big hug. Even to this day you remain my little girls crush. I think back to when I first heard you sing and how I couldn't believe you weren't a superstar by now. I remember holidays, and work days and birthdays. I replay in my head the last time I saw you and hugged you to wish you get well soon.... you kept saying it would be ok with that wonderful smile your mom blessed you with. Such a beautiful person inside and out. Jessie, you left this world too soon, but made such an impact while you were here. You are family to me and always will be. I love you."
