Louise Harriet Wayne
January 26, 1935 - June 5, 2014

Louise Harriet Wayne, of Antigo, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Langlade Hospital under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 79 years old. She was born on January 26, 1935 in Faribault, Minn. a daughter of the late Joseph and Hilda (Lexvold) Valentyn. She married Ronald Wayne on June 6, 1953 in Faribault, Minn. He survives.

Mrs. Wayne graduated from Faribault High School in 1952. She lived in Milwaukee for 13 years, moving to Antigo in 1976. She was employed as a legal secretary for both Attorney Rex Smith and Judge Fred Kawalski. She was also employed by the Langlade County Chamber of Commerce. In her retirement she worked part-time for Lakeside Pharmacy and Grocery.

She was a member of St. John Catholic Church.

She enjoyed traveling, playing bridge, water aerobic classes, reading and cooking. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband survivors include two daughters, Mary Lou (Jeff) Paulson of Antigo and Rebecca (fiancé Dan Barta) Wayne of East Troy; two sons, Randy (Edith) Wayne of San Diego, Calif. and Chris Wayne of Milwaukee; three grandchildren Brian (Kristin) Paulson of Rhinelander, Jennifer (Tony) Stuber of Shawano and Brittney Piper of East Troy; six great grandchildren, Ella, Connor and Ian Stuber and McKenzie, Madalyn and Mason Paulson; a brother, Jerome Valentyn of Faribault, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Shirley Valentyn.

A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church in Hoffmann Hall.

Memorials in Louise's name may be directed to LeRoyer Hospice.
