Margaret "Maggie" Dahms
February 5, 1938 - June 19, 2014

Margaret "Maggie" Dahms, of Antigo, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at St. Clare's Hospital. She was 76 years old. She was born on February 5, 1938 in Omaha, Nebraska a daughter of the late Leo and Maxine (White) Jacks. She married Dr. James Moermond II, the couple later divorced. She married Dale Dahms on February 14, 1981. He survives.

She is a graduate of Westside High School in Omaha, Nebraska. She continued her education at Creighton University in Omaha receiving her bachelor's degree in 1960.

Mrs. Dahms was employed at Peoples Bank in Antigo as a receptionist from 1977 until 1987. In 1987 she became employed at Brettingen, Smits and Novak as a bookkeeper until her retirement in 2005.

She enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, reading and baking.

In addition to her husband survivors include two daughters, Marcia Moermond of St. Paul, MN and Barbara (Ahmed Bouzid) Moermond of Madison; a son, James (Debra) Moermond III of Weston; two step-daughters, Debra (Steve) Waters of Black Creek and Danna Gabriel of Antigo; two step sons, Donald (Tammy) Dahms of Antigo and David (Krissy) Dahms of Phlox; 12 grandchildren, Marcie, Michael, Madeline, Riley, Allie, Cody, Cooper, Lucy, Madison, Aydan, Tate, and Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Marshall Jacks.

A memorial service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Deacon Tom Hartman officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
