Thomas Wallace
September 8, 1926 - June 28, 2014

Thomas Wallace, of Elton, died Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Autumn Lane in Birnamwood under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. He was 87 years old. He was born on September 8, 1926 in Arbor Vitae a son of Byron and Irene (Lambie) Wallace. He married Vicki (Eschenbauch) Lambert on October 22, 1988 in Milwaukee. She survives.

He was a graduate of Woodruff High School with the class of 1944.
He received ROTC training in high school and was drafted into the United States Army Air Corps during WWII. He served in the European Theatre in the later part of WWII.

Mr. Wallace attended business school at Marquette University for two years. He worked for Coca Cola Corporation, Oster Manufacturing and Rexford Paper all in the Milwaukee area. He retired in 1991 and moved to Elton in 1996.

Mr. Wallace volunteered for the Langlade County Committee on Aging as bus driver and medical escort. He was member and former trustee of St. James and Stanislaus Catholic Parish, a life member of the White Lake Historical Society, life member of the Anderson-Sather American Legion Post #524 - White Lake, and life member of the Wolf River Valley Veterans of Forgein Wars Post #9438 White Lake and Langlade.

He enjoyed playing cards and cribbage, traveling and spending time with family.

Survivors including his wife are two daughters, Mary (Bob) Ryan, Hartland, Beverly (David) Klug, Milwaukee; two sons, Michael Wallace, Centenial, Colorado, Patrick (Nancy) Wallace, Wheaton, Illinois; a sister, Ellen (John) Giles, Kenosha; a brother, Gerald Wallace, St. Germaine; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; he is also survived by his wife's three daughters; Beth (Don) Emerich, White Lake, Jacki (Scott) Hildebrandt, Island Lake, Illinois, Gina (John) Wierz, McHenry, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents a grandson Elliot Wallace and a sister, Mary Coffin.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, White Lake with Rev. Jeremiah Worman officiating. Burial will take place in St. James Catholic Cemetery where the White Lake and Langlade Veterans will conduct military rites. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home and 10 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday at the church. A parish wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday and a veterans honor guard will be conducted from 6:30 - 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
