Pamela Deon Best, age 43, passed away July 17, 2014 in Ames, Iowa. A gathering of friends and family will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday July 20th at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way, in Ames. A celebration of life memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday July 21st at Westside Church of Christ, 107 Abraham Drive, in Ames.
Deon was born June 20, 1971 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho to Marshall Baldwin and Patty Henegar. She married Wendell Best on November 15, 1991 in Texas. Wendell is retired from the Air Force and this allowed the family to live in several different areas, such as Idaho, New Mexico, Texas, and Alaska, as well as in England at RAF Lakenheath. Deon was very dedicated to her friends, family, and country.
Deon leaves behind her husband, Wendell, daughters, Nicole, Brittany, Ashley, and Amber, father, Marshall (Sue) Baldwin, mother, Patty (Bill) Henegar, sister, Sharla (Clinton) Jennings, step-sisters, Rhonda Brunson, Anne Sanders, Sandra Simmons, Amanda Simmons, and Rebecca Moonen, step-brothers, Evan Simmons, Robert Henegar, Eric Henegar, and David Henegar.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
