Susie Pitts Villalpando-Kyser wrote on Jul 22, 2014:

"I remember my Aunt Alice more as a kid and young adult. She was all ways good to me and always welcomed in her home. My heart goes out to the whole family. One thing I remember was how she would write poems(songs) about life. I got to read a few... I also remember she knew a lot about the law, like legal issues. She was sweet and intelligent and really down to earth. RIP my dear Aunt. "

Martha Pitts-Walentowski wrote on Jul 21, 2014:

"I am sorry to hear about Aunt Alice passing and at the same time thankful that she is no longer suffering here on this earth. I know that she will be missed by her entire family. One of my memories that sticks in my mind after 40 years was when she and her family were living in Grandpa's farm house out on Co. Rd. G in Argonne. I remember her making this HUGE bowl of potato salad, I think it was for the family reunion that was held at the VFW there in Argonne. Why that stays in my mind I do not know, but I can see her peeling potatoes and it always makes me smile:) My deepest sympathy to all of her children and grandchildren and I pray that God can heal your broken hearts in time. God bless you all. Martha (daughter of Dorla "Sis" Johnson-Pitts)"
