MUSCATINE, Iowa--Albert Payson Terhune, 70, of Muscatine, went to meet his Savior on Wednesday, August, 13, 2014, surrounded by his family at his home in Muscatine.
Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Following the memorial service, a time of food and fellowship will be held at First Baptist Church, located at 3003 Mulberry Avenue in Muscatine.
Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Albert's name.
Albert was born on May 20, 1944, in Iowa City, the son of Herman Clark and Della Frances Chelf Terhune. On October 25, 1970, Albert was united in marriage to Kay Norene Meyer at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Muscatine.
He was a member of Fruitland Baptist Church where he served his Lord for over 40 years. Albert enjoyed collecting antique guns and old west collectables. He also enjoyed playing billiards, basketball, and spending time with his family.
Albert will be deeply missed by his wife, Kay Terhune of Muscatine; two daughters, Trista Van Nice and husband, Isaac, of Muscatine and Tacia Justus and fiancé, Mike Davis, of Muscatine; six grandchildren, Alexandra Ellis and husband, Evan, Ezekiel Van Nice, Azara Van Nice, McKaya Justus, Padriac Justus and Micah Justus; two great-grandchildren, Kinzer and Kane Ellis; and two sisters, Janet Montgomery of Rock Island, and Patricia Bartenhagen of Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Lowell Terhune; and one son in infancy.
