Raymond L Waush
December 23, 1938 - August 24, 2014

Raymond L. Waush, of Elcho, died Sunday, August 24, 2014 at his home under the care of his family and Ministry Hospice. He was 75 years old. He was born on December 23, 1938 in Minocqua, a son of Raymond and Rita (Soik) Waush II. He married Janice Landsverk on July 7, 1962 at Martin Luther Church in Neenah. She survives.

He was a graduate of Waupaca High School with the class of 1956.

Mr. Waush served in the United States Navy from 1956 - 1959 on the USS Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He lived in the Fox Valley most of his life and worked for AT&T from 1962-1989 as an installer and later moving into management. He then worked for Communication Support in Appleton for 12 years retiring in 2002.

After retirement he made his residence at his summer home on Lower Post Lake.

He enjoyed playing and following baseball having played or coached the sport his whole life. He also coached his children's hockey teams. His hobbies included completing crossword puzzles, golfing, boating and following the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and Wisconsin Badgers.

Survivors including his wife are a daughter, Wanda (Joe) Pleshek, Cambridge; three sons, Kyle Waush, Madison, Kurt Waush, Shawano, Kent Waush, Appleton; three grandchildren Bailey Waush, Jamie Rudie and Brock Pleshek; a brother, Mike Waush,Weyauwega; his wife's brother Bruce (Mina) Landsverk.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Karen Weiss, and Mary Boettcher.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at United Church of Christ, Congregational in Elcho with Rev. Dana Schindler officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
