"My sister Lisa and I had a special relationship while I was growing up. While at KFMH she would always welcome me into the studio while she was on the air and gave me many albums of up and coming bands as well as the well know bands that had put out new LP's. We had many adventures together. She had a great sense of humor and could make anybody laugh in her best of times. I will miss her very much and I will remember the great times as brother and sister. "Lisa had the ear of thousands of people every day they tuned in to listen to her and the music she played and the things she said on the radio starting back in the early to mid 70s. Lisa was very influential when it came to music in the local and Midwestern scene she helped launch a lot of bands careers, on a national level Lisa was well respected in the record industry and was music director at the station for many years, Lisa was responsible for auditioning all the records that came into the station she had a knack for picking the next big band, she shaped the listening habits of thousands of people in the Midwest. In the early to mid 70s there was no internet or cable TV... television over the air and RADIO was King... Lisa was the queen of radio in the Midwest. Please enjoy a couple of photos from my archives; this was Lisa in her heyday "

"To Lisa's family, My name is Allan Jahnke and I worked with Lisa at KFMH 99 Plus from 1973 to 1981. I was in the sales department at KFMH/KWPC. Lisa was a wonderful friend. My family moved to Colorado Springs in 1981 and I have thought of Lisa many times over the years. Lisa knew music and had a fantastic radio voice. When I would be in the public her listeners would ask me if I knew Lisa and that she was one of there favorite DJ'S on KFMH. To her children and family always remember the good times with Lisa and may she rest in peace."

We had great times together, sometimes doing what our parents thought we were doing /should be doing and sometimes not.
