TIPTON, Iowa--Michael George Morrison, 41, of Tipton, died peacefully on September 27, 2014, at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. A luncheon will follow the funeral at Tipton's VFW. Private inurnment will take place in First Presbyterian Church Columbarium in Iowa City, at a later date.

Visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2014, at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in Michael's honor to defray funeral expenses.

Michael was born on July 22, 1973, son of George Morrison and Bonita Swails in Iowa City, Iowa.

Michael graduated from Iowa City's City High School and went on to earn a Truck Driving Certificate from Kirkwood Community College. Michael spent his life fulfilling his passion as a semi-truck driver, most recently for Bennett Grain. He loved all things on wheels.

He married Miranda McMeins in Iowa City, Iowa. Together, he and Miranda raised three daughters.

Michael is survived by his mother, Bonita Swails of Iowa City; three daughters, Madalyn "Maddy" Christine, Aileen "Allie" Raye Morrison, and Abigail "Abby" McMeins, all of Davenport; two sisters, Tammy Schroeder and husband, Darin, of Tipton, and Lindsey Ford and husband, Larry, of Oakville; nephews and niece, Cullen and Logan Schroeder of Tipton, and Noah and Myah Ford of Oakville.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Morrison.
