Barbara Joan Moren, 74, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on October 1, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. Barbara had been battling ALS since December of 2012, but never lost her ability to love unconditionally, laugh abundantly and give thanks for the many blessings God had given during her time here on earth.
Born October 30, 1939, in Tampico, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry A. Morgan and Evelyn (Stout) Morgan. Barbara attended Seymour High School and Seymour Business School. Barbara married the love of her life, Richard L. Moren on July 1, 1961.
Barbara worked as the office Manager for Dr. Jon Bevers for 20+ years and was also a dental assistant and office manager for Dr. E.A. Hampton. Barbara was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour, Indiana, where she was a very active member of the congregation. During her time as a member, she served on the Board for Noah's Ark Pre-school, was a member of the Board of Trustees, a member of the Board of Finance, was a Deaconess, and served in the kitchen making meals for the congregation. Barbara also served as President of the Seymour Jay-Shees, served as president of the Seymour Girls Softball League, was a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority and was the First Lady in 1976 for the Indiana Elks Association.
Barbara was a very compassionate person and a woman of strong faith and courage who particularly enjoyed helping others. Whether just a simple hello or a conversation to help lift someone's spirit, Barbara never met a stranger and was always willing to take time to make a difference. She loved reading, watching whatever sporting event her children were participating in, shopping, traveling to visit her son and spending time with her husband and friends.
Barbara was preceded in his death by her parents, Harry A. and Evelyn Morgan and one sister, Janet M. Sorrells. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard Lloyd; her three children, Leann (Charles) Hutchinson of Scottsburg, Indiana, Andrew Scott Moren of Washington D.C and Teri Marie Moren of Bloomington, Indiana. Also her brother, Harry L. Morgan of Glendora, CA, 11 nieces and nephews and her sweet, sweet dog Sammie.

"I am saddened by Barb's passing, but I know she has no more pain, and is with our Lord. She was such an upbeat person, and she could always bring a smile to the face of anyone who met her. I last saw her at Aunt Cordia's service, and she was still the ray of sunshine I remembered from years ago. Blessings to all her family. "
