Lisa Renee Kaufman

Lisa Kaufman, 50, of Glenwood, passed away at her home on October 4, 2014. A Memorial Mass will be at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at the Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Glenwood with Reverend Dan Siepker officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the church.

Lisa Renee, daughter of Gerald and Lenora (Techau) Stogdill, was born on April 29, 1964 in Des Moines, Iowa. She grew up in Silver City and attended the Silver City and Glenwood schools graduating from Glenwood in 1982. Lisa attended Jennie Edmundson School of Nursing and graduated Valedictorian of her class. She then attended Clarkson College in Omaha where she received her Bachelor's degree and was again Valedictorian. She worked Intensive Care at Midlands Hospital in Papillion and worked at various establishments before becoming the school nurse at Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs.

Lisa married Curt Kaufman on October 17, 1987 and they were blessed with five children. They lived in Omaha, Council Bluffs, Mineola, and most recently Glenwood.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Curt, of 26 years; sons, Ryan (Rashell) Kaufman of Marion, IA, Josh (Kelsey Beck and Landon) Kaufman of Ames, IA, Taylor Kaufman of Iowa City, IA, and Matt Kaufman of Glenwood; daughter, Kate Kaufman of Glenwood; grandson, Gunnar Kaufman; parents, Gerald and Lenora Stogdill of Silver City, IA; brothers, Ron (Teresa) Stogdill of Lincoln, NE and Steve Stogdill of Glenwood; nephews, Mitch and Alex Stogdill; biological mother, Gail Miller Overton; half sister, Ashley Glaza; and numerous cousins and a host of special friends.
