COLUMBUS JUNCTION, Iowa--Frances "Sally" Pugh of Columbus Junction died on Friday, October 10, 2014, at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014, at the Presbyterian Church in Columbus Junction. Burial will take place in Columbus City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014, at the church. The Iowa Cremation Society is in charge of the arrangements. A memorial is being established for the Presbyterian Church in Columbus Junction.

Sally was born on October 22, 1922, in Morning Sun, the daughter of Estella Salladay. On September 24, 1949, she married Richard Pugh in Indianola. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2009.

Sally graduated from Morning Sun High School and the Burlington Beauty Academy. She operated a beauty shop out of her home for over 35 years before retiring in 1983. Sally was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Columbus Junction, Presbyterian Women Kitchen Band, Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Sally enjoyed her bridge club, aquacise classes at the Washington YMCA and visiting with friends. Her greatest joy was her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Mike Pugh and wife, Lisa, Dave Pugh and wife, Candy, and Mark Pugh and wife, Pam all of Columbus Junction; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband; and one brother.
