Frances Kolat
August 12, 1914 - October 19, 2014

Frances Kolat, formerly of Antigo died Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. She was 100 years old. She was born on August 12, 1914 in the Town of Rolling, a daughter of Wencel and Anna (Wild) Hartl. She married Joseph Kolat on April 10, 1948 at St. John Catholic Church in Antigo. He preceded her in death on September 16, 1981.

She attended Fernwood grade school.

Mrs. Kolat was employed in Antigo at Weinbrenner Shoe Company factory for five years and at Arrowhead News for 25 years. She and her husband farmed in the town of Ackley for 10 years.

She was a member of SS Mary and Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo.

Survivors include a brother, Lawrence (Katie) Hartl of Sturgeon Bay; a sister-in-law, Inez Hartl of Idaho; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by six sisters, Eleanor, Martha, Irene, Theresa, Ann and Dorothy; five brothers Ray, Wenzel, John, Frank, and Leonard.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with her nephew Rev. David Zimmerman officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 - 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Bradley Funeral Home.
