Florence Kazukewicz Nordine
March 21, 1919 - November 7, 2014

Florence Kazukewicz Nordine, of Antigo, died Friday, November 7, 2014 surrounded by her family at the Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center . She was 95 years old. She was born on March 21, 1919 in Watersmeet, Mich. a daughter of the late Nicholas and Etta Mae (Alling) Murphy.

She was a graduate of Watersmeet High School and continued her education at St. Joseph School of Nursing in Ashland. In 1939 she married Walter Kazukewicz in Ashland, he preceded her in death in 1976.

She was employed as a nurse at Wakefield Hospital in Bessemer, Mich. for five years before returning to Ashland where she was a surgical nurse at St Joseph Hospital for 41 years.

She enjoyed gardening, knitting and spending time with her family. She loved Sandcut and "the shack" on Lake Superior.

In 1984 she married Guy Nordine and lived in Kenton where she enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling. Mr. Nordine preceded her in death in 2006.

Survivors include a son, Andrew (Nancy) Kazukewicz of Antigo; a granddaughter, Kay (Mike) Faust of Manitowoc; a grandson, Scott (Dondi) Kazukewicz of St. Paul, Minn.; three great grandchildren, Lauren and Ryan Faust and Brenden Kazukewicz.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, Kay Marie Kazukewicz; sisters, Emily Caudill and Agnes Holmstrom; and brothers, Clifford and Nicholas "Bud".

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15 at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in the Spring at St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery in Ashland.
