Larry Fischer

Larry Fischer, of Antigo, died Monday, November 10, 2014 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. He was 73 years old. He was born on September 28, 1941 in Antigo, a son of George and Anita (Fisher) Fischer. He married Sandy Wanca on June 25, 1960 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Antigo. She survives.

Mr. Fischer was employed as a carpenter having worked for Tradewell Construction for 27 years and Draeger oil for 18 years. He retired in 2004.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and snowmobiling and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors including his wife are a daughter, Rita (Daniel) Benes, Bryant; three sons, Richard Fischer, Terry (Laura) Fischer, Keith (Wendy) Fischer, all of Antigo; six grandchildren Leon, Crystal, Alanda, Timothy, Kyle and Danica; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Labre, Milwaukee, Bonnie Curtis, Antigo; three brothers, Ted (Carol) Fischer, Arizona, Philip (Michelle) Fischer, Rochester, New York, James Fischer, Antigo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carol.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Omer Kelley officiating. Burial will take place in the Town of Polar Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 - 7 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
