MUSCATINE, Iowa--Naomi M. Bunn, 89, of Muscatine, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014, at Lutheran Living, Muscatine.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m at the Mulford Evangelical Free Church with visitation taking place prior to the service from 9 a.m to 10 a.m. Following the interment a time of food and fellowship will be held at Mulford Evangelical Free Church. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to Mulford Evangelical Free Church of Muscatine in Naomi's name or to the family. The Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Naomi was born in Muscatine, Iowa, on Dec. 24, 1924, to Dietrich and Katharina Schlichting; and on Nov. 23, 1941, she married Arthur Bunn.
She worked at the Sears catalog store as a clerk and teletype operator, and later as the service department manager. She was a member of the Gold Star Mothers, and Mulford Evangelical Free Church where she served as teacher and superintendent of the primary department for many years. She enjoyed crewel and needlepoint.
Survivors include daughter Janet Bunn of Muscatine; granddaughter Misty Olson and husband Russell of Buffalo, Minn.; daughter-in-law Sallie Bunn of Muscatine; granddaughter Lara Bunn of Muscatine; great- grandsons Tyler and Jackson Upham of Buffalo, Minn.; Shirley and Leland Bucknell, Kim Bucknell, LeAnn Bucknell, and Kristi Bucknell, all of Charles City; sister Hattie Neff of Muscatine; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur Bunn, two sons Jerry Bunn and Charles Bunn; and two brothers Hans Fulgrabe and Clarence Schlichting, and a sister Elizabeth Campbell.
