In loving memory of

Grace Marie Gallenberger
March 6, 1927 - December 8, 2014

Grace Marie "Gram" Gallenberger, 87 years old, died at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center on Monday December 8, 2014 with family by her side.

Born March 6, 1927 in Slovan (Kewaunee County) to William and Mayme (Hostak) Lazansky. She married the love of her life, Jim Gallenberger, on April 9, 1947. Survivors include five children, Michael (Linda) Gallenberger, Riverton, Utah, Patrick (Barbara) Gallenberger, Deerbrook, Judi (Jeff) Berg, Appleton, Annmarie Gallenberger, Summit Lake and David (Jackie) Gallenberger, Summit Lake; grandchildren, Michael (Tegan) Berg, Appleton, Robert (Stacy) Kleberg, Rib Mountain and their twins Hayden and Hadley Kleberg, Kyle Kleberg and significant other Melissa Miller, Jared Kleberg, David Gallenberger and significant other Tyler Lovell, Sam Gallenberger, and Jessica Schoepke and her children Cole, Emma and Cassidy.

Mom was preceded in death by our dad James Joseph Gallenberger in 1999 and a grandson Joey Gallenberger. Mom was the last of ten children to pass away: Elmer, Milton and Bill Lazansky; Elsie Herr, Mable Stodola, Betty Doperalski, Carol Oshefsky, Adeline Doperalski and Mayme Yakel.

Mom took pride in her baking and cooking; everyone looked forward to her treats. She loved visiting with family and friends, QVC, her flower gardens, hummingbirds, angels, cooking shows, crossword puzzles, lemon Snapple iced tea and broasted chicken.

Through the years Mom worked part-time in food service at Rose Rest Home in Kaukauna and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton. Mom and Dad retired to their Water Power Lake home in 1983. They helped out in the family business, "Gumpy's" Gallenbergers Inn until Dad got sick in 1998. Mom continued making her famous desserts for Gumpy's until about a year ago. Mom lived quite independently for the past 15 years after Dad's death and her greatest joy were her children and grandchildren.

The family wants to especially thank the Grandsons for helping so much these past years with snow shoveling, plowing, grocery shopping and just stopping by to check-in on gram. She cherished you guys!

To all the special caregivers at Eastview, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the love and support during this difficult journey as our mother's spirit was released from a body that could no longer hold her. Even during the worst of times, all at once out of the clear blue would come Mom's goofy cherub smile and we couldn't help but laugh. That will be our greatest memory.

The Blue Skirt Waltz is playing in heaven and Dad is waiting for your reunion dance. Until we meet again, we love you Mom!

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home with Reverend Jeremiah Worman officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Summit Lake at 3 p.m. Friday.
