"I grew up with Beth and your mom and dad from kindergarten on. I remember your mom and dad who were always interested in Beth's classmates and even popped in on some class reunions to catch up on our lives. How special is that to feel so close and loving of your children and their friends. So sorry to hear the news too late to be there for you, Beth, Jerilynn and the rest of the family. You have my condolences. Janice Frownfelter Jensen"
"You are all in our thoughts and prayers today as you say good-bye to your mother and grandmother. We would have liked to have been there for the funeral. Your mom was always so kind and welcoming during our visits to Oakville church. We have great memories of her. "
"I first met Marilyn in California in 1949. She was a beautiful teenager. When she married Johnny and moved back to Iowa they were neighbors and our oldest three children were the same ages. We have great memories of those times. Our sincere sympathy to Johnny and the family."
"Thinking of all of you. What a loving gracious lady."
"Marilyn was such a good, good friend to my parents, Bill & Betty Denny. Both her and John took such good care of them on "the farm" and later, when they became ill Marilyn was there with a meal, a smile and always saying something to make them laugh. You will be missed, Marilyn. Say "Hi!" to Mom & Dad for me, ok? Our thoughts & prayers to you, John and children. Your wife/mother was certainly one-of-a-kind!"
"I always enjoyed visiting with Marilyn when we were back in southeast Iowa. We send our sympathy to you, Johnny, and to your children and grandchildren."
"Marilyn was very special to me, especially when my husband Bill was killed. She reached out to me in so many ways. My memories of time spent with her will not be forgotten. My sympathy goes out to all of you and my tears are many at this time. God will be with you and carry you through this loss, as well as He does all of our sorrows and pain. Thank you for being such a caring family! In Christian Love, Phyllis Knobloch"
