Elmer H. Wolf
February 6, 1925 - January 9, 2015


Elmer H. Wolf, 89, of Gwynedd Estates, formerly of Fort Washington, died Friday January 9, 2015 at Fort Washington Estates.
Born in Philadelphia on February 6, 1925, he was the son of the late Otto and Frieda (nee Burrer) Wolf.
Mr. Wolf served in the US Army from 2/44 to 12/45, where he earned the Bronze Star for his service at Saipan. He graduated from Drexel University in 1954 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
After a number of years with Furlough and Assoc, he started his own consulting firm, which he had for 20 years. After that, he worked for McHugh Engineering until his retirement at age 84.
Mr. Wolf was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Washington
He was preceded in death by his Son Robert A. Wolf in 2012 and his daughter Cheryl A. Emore in 1995.

He is survived by his beloved Wife Jane (nee Leach) Wolf and is the devoted father of Barbara A. Lawson (Gordon) of Hatboro, PA. He is also survived by his daughter- in- law Janis Wolf of Ambler and son-in-law Louis Emore of Willow Grove, PA. He is the loving grandfather of Rebecca Jacobsen (Jon), Carrie Liehr (Steve), Lisa Emore, Sarah Sabo (Scott) and Great Grand Father of 3+ and brother of Edith Zocholl of Warminster, PA

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday January 14, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Trinity Lutheran Church Summit and Spring Aves. Fort Washington With a Funeral service at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be Private

Remembrances in his name to ALS Assoc. Greater Philadelphia Chapter 321 Norristown Rd., Suite 260 Ambler, PA 19002 would be appreciated by the family.

"It was a great personal blessing and a privilege for me to have known this fine loving man. He was the head of a wonderful family and a true gentleman. I will forever remember him. A Yiddish word really and properly describes him. He was a real "mensch". My heart goes out to his dear family at this sad difficult time."
