"Mel and I had an amazing friendship and a special bond. We shared many years of life's journey complete with joy, laughter and tears. Her passing has left a deep hole in my heart. Mel will continue to love and guide her "hearts" Kyra and Kelsey."
Sun Prairie - Melanie G. Pelletier, age 45, was guided by angels to heaven on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. She was born on January 22, 1969 in Madison, the daughter of Reginald and Martha (Stone) Werth. On January 28, 2000, Melanie was united in marriage to Gary E. Pelletier in Hawaii. Melanie worked for many years in the registration and financial aid department at MATC. She genuinely loved animals, most of all her two dogs; Jake and Charlie. Over the years she collected angels and enjoyed the beauty of flowers. One of her favorite past times was with her two daughters, curling up on the couch watching a movie. Melanie cherished the time spent with her family on vacations to the Bahamas and camping. Even though her time here on earth was far too short, Melanie will always hold a special place in her heart for her daughters and husband.
She is survived by her husband; Gary Pelletier of Sun Prairie, her two daughters; Kyra 12 and Kelsey 10, her mother; Martha Werth of Stoughton, two brothers; Jim (Anne Kenny) Werth of Madison and Mark (Danielle) Werth of Highland Park, IL, mother-in-law; Mary Thurk of Fond du Lac, father-in-law; Robert (Patricia) Pelletier of Madison, three brothers-in-law; Bob (Lisa) Pelletier of Sun Prairie, Jim (Mary Ann) Pelletier of Fond du Lac and Brian (Lisa) Pelletier of Verona, eight nieces and nephews; Kevin, Menia, Jennifer, Sarah, Amber, Kiersten, Brennen and Presten and her best friend; Mary (Denny) Kuhn of Sun Prairie. Melaine is also survived by many other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Reginald Werth and her brother Jeff Werth.
Funeral services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 6:00 pm. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 3:00 pm until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Melanie to establish and education fund for her daughters.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jeff, Christine, Shayley and Cole Christy, General Communications, and to the 115th Fighter Wing for all their unending love, support and prayers throughout this difficult time.
