September 27, 1938 - February 6, 2014

Frank Earl Bergsma Jr. was born on September 27, 1938 in Auburn, Washington to Frank and Thelma Bergsma. They lived in Earlington Flats then moved to Bow Lake before moving to Kent where he graduated from Kent Meridian High School. Frank loved sports and played basketball for Kent Meridian High School. He loved cars and racing. He started the Satellites' Car Club in the late 1950's and was instrumental in the development of Pacific Raceway's in 1960. He also had a great love for music. Frank became a milk man where he worked with his father for about 5 years. In the late 50's early 60's he served six years in the Air National guard and was honorably discharged in 1962. Soon after Frank began his career in retail until he retired in 2008. After retirement Frank loved spending time with his family, children, and especially his grandchildren.

Frank is survived by his devoted wife, Janie, his four children, Sherry Halfon of Seattle, Todd Halfon of Renton, Edward Bergsma of Seattle, and Sean Bergsma of Renton. One brother, Jan Bergman of Tacoma, and three sisters, Nancy Schlepp of Kent, Patty Davis of Pennsylvania, and Susan Rundle, of Lacey. Several nieces and nephews, grand children and great-grand children.
