James Lawrence Harms passed away unexpectedly on March 14, 2014. He resided in Seattle Washington with his fiancée Amy Wicklund.
Jim was born in Ottawa, Illinois on April 9, 1956 to Rayman and Florann (Wiley) Harms. He was raised on a farm in Brookfield Township and attended school in Seneca, Illinois until 1970 when the family moved to a farm near Monroe, Wisconsin. Jim graduated from Juda High School in 1974. He was married to Lorna Friedrichs in 1976 and they moved to the Denver, Colorado area.
Jim worked for Greg's Japanese Auto since 1994 and, at the time of his death he was the store manager in Lynnwood, Washington.
Survivors include his mother, Florann Harms of Arvada, Colorado, 3 daughters, Jennifer (Ari) Armstrong, Jessica (Jason) Everts, and Jacqueline Harms, all of Westminster, Co., 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Katelyn Everts, brother Joseph (Nancey) Harms of Westminster, Colorado, sister Judith (Michael) Lyon of Arvada, Colorado, and nephew Steven Lyon of Henderson, Co. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Rayman Harms in 1997, maternal grandparents, Harold and Gertrude (Jones) Wiley, and paternal grandparents, Hans and Jenny (Briner) Harms.
