February 3, 1931 -- November 17, 2009
Ike Clouser, a long time resident of Gilbert and Ames, passed away Tuesday, November 17, at Mercy Regional Health Center in Manhattan, KS. A visitation will be 4:00 -- 8:00 PM Friday, November 20, with the family present 6:00 -- 8:00 PM at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care 414 Lincoln Way in Ames, with a 10:30 AM Saturday, November 21 funeral services at the Grace Bible Church (formerly Congregational Church) in Gilbert, burial immediately following at the Gilbert Cemetery.
Norman Dale Clouser was born to George and Dorothy Clouser on February 3, 1931 in Glbert, IA. Ike served in the military (regular army) from September 1948 -- June 1952 when he received an honorable discharge from the Armed Forces for his duty. Ike was employed by Iowa State University for 34-1/2 years before retiring in 1991. He enjoyed music, golf, playing cards, and dancing. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, and American Legion.
Ike is survived by his wife, Deb Clouser of Manhattan, KS, former spouse Norma Clouser of Ames, IA, son Steven Clouser of Orange County, CA, daughter Rebecca (Randy) Johnson of Prairie du Chien, WI, son Rodney (Mel) Clouser of Ames, IA, and daughter Lisa (Clouser) Thomas of Ames, IA, 12 grandchildren, and 9 great-grand children, sisters, Lucille Watson of Ames, Lavonne (Richard) Bark of Ames, a brother Gerald (Pat) Clouser of Ames, and a half-sister Marlene (Paul) Weigel of Boone.

Ike was preceded in death by one brother Kenneth "Bud" Clouser and an infant son David.

Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer's Association or Collins Landing at Meadowlark Hills Retirement Community.
