December 26, 1923 - August 17, 2014

Gloria Daly, 90, passed away in her sleep on Sunday, August 17, 2014, surrounded by her loving family in Lake Sammamish, Washington
Gloria was born on Staten Island on December 26, 1923, daughter of William Koch and Mary Jeannette Bouchoux Koch. She graduated from St. John's Villa Academy High School, attended Notre Dame College, and graduated from Wagner College. Gloria married Frederick Daly, whom she met while they both worked for the F.B.I., on September 4, 1945. She was a teacher for many years, educating children at Saint Sylvester's School in Grasmere, Our Lady Help of Christians School in Tottenville, and for many years at Saint Margaret Mary School in Midland Beach.
In 1973, Gloria and her husband Frederick Daly, who predeceased her in 1987, moved to Whispering Pines, North Carolina where they enjoyed their retirement years. She later moved to Knollwood Village in Southern Pines. Gloria was an active member of Saint Anthony's Catholic Church, and generously volunteered countless hours of her time there.
Gloria moved to Burbank, California in 2009, where she resided with her grandson, Charles Schrupp, and his family. She also spent time with her granddaughters, Holly Sanders, Gennie Edwards, and Maryann Walters. She later moved with Charles to the Seattle area in Washington and resided there until her death.
Gloria is survived by two daughters, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and countless friends. There was no limit to her love and generosity, and she will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
