"I met Scrappy last summer when I was renovating our cabin just outside of Rhinelander. He was so kind, loved to talk, especially about his family. I was looking for his phone number to call him to do some more work for me this summer, and was so disappointed to come across this memorial. He had told me about a recent hospital visit, so I am not totally suprised. However, 63 is just way too young! I am thankful that I was able to meet him and his son. Remarkable man. We had some heartfelt talks and I hope that he heard what I said about God's love and that he is now with Him in heaven. Thank you for sharing this memorial page."

"James: Though I did not know you very well, and we may have only met once or twice, you took good care of my baby sister (Marsha), and for that I respect you. I am thankful that your suffering is over, and I hope and pray that you are in a far better place now with no more suffering."

"He always put his family first, he would do what ever he could for all of us. He was the true meaning of a family man,he was loved as a grandfather by some of our kids and as a father figure by some of us. Even tho he is gone he will never be forgotten. A piece of him will continue to live in everyone who was fortunate to of been a part of his life."
