In loving memory of

Paula Ann Swain
July 15, 1952 - February 22, 2015

Paula was born in Champaign, Illinois on July 15th, 1952. It was on that day that the most special, wonderful and happy soul arrived here to touch everyone she met with grace and kindness.
For Paula everyone else, even her pet kitties came first. Paula saw the best in everyone and helped them to find the best in themselves. She was kind, understanding and generous beyond measure. She was loved and treasured by her husband, her brother Robert, her dad and mom, and by Alan and Jean Swain, who helped immeasurably during her illness...and of course by her dear friends, including those she worked with in Seattle for many years at the Hearing Speech and Deafness Center.
She passed peacefully in her husband's arms during the early morning hours of Sunday, February 22nd following a long illness.
Paula is survived by her husband Shawn and their five children (all
cats!) Foxi, Girl-Kitty, Bob-O-Link, Sable, and Cotton-Tail; her brother Robert, and by all of her friends.
She was preceded in passing by her mother Helen in 1983, and her father Paul exactly one week before her...and by her the beloved kitty Pufflefoot in January.
Paula is sorely missed. She was truly one of a kind, and she will be in our memories and our hearts for ever. Thank you, Paula for being here.
We ALL love you so much!

"My sweetest Paula I will miss you more than anything. It's impossible to even imagine you not being here. Thank you for thirty years of deepest love and closest friendship. I am the luckiest man alive for having you in my life for so long. To me you were and still are an unending song, a melody of heart and music of the soul. If I could, I'd find a way to alter time, to borrow just one more moment with you, if not another lifetime. Sleep well, my baby-doll. You will never be forgotten, nor the life lessons you taught me. I will always seek to find in myself and in others the same wonderful qualities of joy, happiness and peace that defined who you were, who you are. Thank you for ever. I love you so much. I will see you again... ~ Shawn"
