"Lois, Patty, Don & Alex... Please accept my sincere and "heartfelt" sympathy. I was positively stunned to read about mom's passing in the newspaper here. I very much wish I could be there with you. I am so, SO very sorry for your loss. She really was "my second mother" all those years when we would be up at the cottage. There is absolutely no possible way I could EVER pick or choose just "one special memory" of her or "one special story"... because I have just so many, MANY of them (and every single one of them is very "special" to me). Your mom, dad and family were such a HUGE part of mom's, dad's and MY life over all those years. I will forever remember your mom as an extremely hard working woman, a wonderful mother to her family and an extremely "good friend" to my parent's. She was "always busy"...whether it was "standing over that stove" cooking for all of the customers or forever doing laundry and hanging the clothes outside on the lines. She was always "on the go" that's for sure. Gosh, if I could right a book about "my times up north" with your mom, dad and my parents, I think it would definitely make the PG Best Seller list. May God Bless your entire family with peace and comfort, knowing you now have another "angel" to watch over you! ~ā?„~ You will all be in my thoughts... and most certainly in my prayers. Gentle hugs to every one of you. xxxxx "

"I will always remember, as a child, riding our bikes 5 miles to get to the store/bar that LaVerne and Harold ran. She was always so smiley and happy and treated us well. Even in later years, when I saw her, she was still smiling. My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family!"
