"I,too remember Ms.Kohler. Everyone is right. She was straight forward in her teaching. I still remember .her lesson on Gettsburg. She jumbed (figuratively) from one body to the other for hundreds of yard. Ah. I wrote a paper advocating for the south. Only 16 then. She looked me right in the face, and said. "i do not agreed with you" Yes, I am a criminal defense atty. Just about to retire. omG. She probably knew I was up to something.... I share these thoughts from Lincoln, Neb. To the family, there are so many comments from the 60's.... Bottom line, she was a great TEACHER. Mariclare Thomas. "

"Like many graduates of Madison West, I too remember Ms. Kohler's exceptional knowledge, and her kind but businesslike teaching style. She was really a wonderful teacher, and was one of my favorites. "

"One of my favorite teachers from West High back in the 80's. I still have an interest in US history because of her and how she made topics interesting. I still quote her today whenever the subject of US Presidents come up. Probably the only class I didn't goof off in. I will always remember her fondly. Thoughts and prayers with all of you."
