BENITO RANGEL SR.
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Benito Rangel Sr., 40, of Muscatine, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2015, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Reverend Troy Richmond of Ss. Mary and Mathias Parish will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. on Monday, March 23, 2015, at the funeral home.

Benito was born on February 23, 1975, in Iowa City, the son of Celedonio and Virginia Bravo Rangel.

Survivors include his children, Benito Rangel Jr, Andrew Grimm, Elxis Jackson, and Angie Rangel; one grandson; and siblings, Valentin Rangel, Miguel Rangel, Rosanna Medrano, and Belen Marquez.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Arnulfo and Gavino; and one sister, Adelaida Carranza.

"Benito was a awesome man I enjoyed walking down the street and always talking or wavein at him he was a good friend of mine and I miss him dearly. I remember having this black shirt that had a ultra sound pic on it and every time I wore that shirt Benito would say "that's my baby" I just laughed and was like ok banito what ever you say."
