Catherine Marie Solie
October 13, 1917 - March 22, 2015

Catherine Marie Solie, of Antigo, died Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Continental Manor in Abbotsford. She was 97 years old. She was born on October 13, 1917 in Millville, Minn a daughter of the late Francis and Agnes (Dickman) Wadley. She married Robert Solie on January 9, 1942 in Stillwater, Minn. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2010.

She was a graduate of Eau Claire Senior High School.
A homemaker, Mrs. Solie was interested in art and spent much time with her oil painting as a hobby. She and her husband traveled extensively. They spent time in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico and all of the 50 states. She and her husband were very interested in sports especially the Green Bay Packers. She enjoyed camping with her family, each summer the family spent weeks camping with her brother and his family. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Rev. Donn) Radde of Marshfield and Diane Schneider of Fairmont, WV; six grandchildren, Rachel (Jeremy) Fresia, Matthew (Danielle) Radde, Bethany (James Robert) Pulham, Jessica (William Ryan) Ford, John (Danielle) Schneider and Lisa Schneider; seven great-grandchild, Jonathan Reece, Jacob Matthew and Michaella Marie Fresia, Anna Catherine and William Andrew Ford, Elizabeth Grace and Katelyn Rose Pulham.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth (Isabel) Wadley and Douglas Wadley.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with her son-in-law Reverend Donn Radde officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family expresses gratitude for the wonderful and loving care provided by the staff at Continental Manor.
